The Charger is Dodge's big, powerful sedan. It features a spacious interior with upscale features, and Dodge offers it with a selection of V-6 and V-8 engines. For the 2021 model year, Dodge added the Redeye to the lineup with more power than ever. The GT, when equipped with all-wheel drive, now comes with 20-inch wheels.

Trim Levels (Exterior)

The base Charger SXT has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and automatic halogen headlights. Take a step up to the GT for LED fog lights, a sport-tuned suspension, and heated outside mirrors, or to the R/T for an active exhaust and 20-inch wheels. The Scat Pack is next in the lineup with high-performance brakes, unique 20-inch wheels, and a matte black rear spoiler. You can then move up to the SRT Hellcat, which has HID projector headlights, an aluminum hood, red brake calipers, and it comes with the Widebody package. Another step up to the Hellcat Redeye gets you unique Redeye badging.

Engine (Power)

The engine lineup for the Charger starts with a 3.6-liter V-6 with 292 horsepower. The R/T bumps up the power with a 5.7-liter V-8 that puts out 370 horsepower, and the Scat Pack gets a 6.4-liter V-8 that makes 485 horsepower. When all this is not enough power for you, you can choose the SRT Hellcat. It will get you 717 horsepower with its 6.2-liter supercharged V-8, and for even more, the Redeye boosts this engine's horsepower up to 797.

Performance

This Dodge is not your everyday sedan. In addition to the straight-line power, it offers a smooth and quiet ride on the road. If you have the base V-6 engine, you can opt for all-wheel drive so you can take on snow-covered roads.

Interior

There's room for five in the Charger with space for everyone to spread out. Behind the seats, you'll find a 16.5-cubic-foot cargo area, and the rear seats fold down for more flexibility. Standard features in the Charger's cabin include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cloth upholstery, and power-adjustable front seats. Moving up through the trims adds driver's seat memory settings if you have the Scat Pack, which also has heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and the option for leather upholstery. Tech in this Dodge starts with a 7-inch touch screen, the Uconnect 4 infotainment system, Bluetooth, a six-speaker stereo system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GT upgrades to an 8.4-inch touch screen, and it has an upgraded stereo; and depending on the trim, you can get the Uconnect 4C infotainment system with integrated navigation. Other optional tech features include satellite radio, navigation, and either an Alpine stereo or a Harmon Kardon sound system.

Safety Features

The 2021 Charger comes with a rearview camera, anti-lock brakes, and traction and stability control. The available Driver Confidence Package adds a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, while the Technology Package comes with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, automatic windshield wipers, and rain-sensing wipers. These packages are available for all trims except the Hellcats.
