For over 50 years, the Jeep Wagoneer defined what a luxury SUV is. After disappearing from the Jeep lineup for decades, the new Wagoneer made its appearance once again in 2021. Today, the elegant full-size 2022 Jeep Wagoneer comes with plenty of cabin space and modern technology features.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Wagoneer comes in two trim levels: the Series II and Series III. Clean lines help to define the exterior of the 2022 Wagoneer. The slim front of this SUV carries Jeep's iconic seven-panel grille with chrome inserts. Rectangular-shaped LED headlights frame the grille. A dropped fascia with LED fog lights stacks under the grille and headlights for a sophisticated appearance. The rear of the Wagoneer has wrap-around taillights under the broad back windshield adding to the contemporary look of this SUV.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of both 2022 Wagoneer trims, you'll find a mild-hybrid powertrain. The system consists of a 5.7-liter V-8 engine with eTorque that delivers 392 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque. The eTorque system adds low-end torque to the Wagoneer to help with extra starting power and off-road capability. When properly equipped, the 2022 Wagoneer has a mind-boggling towing capacity of up to 10,000 pounds.
Performance
Even with its elegant styling, the Wagoneer is built with impressive off-road capability. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, however, for maximum towing capacity and traction, choose one of Jeep's available four-wheel-drive systems. The Quadra-Trac systems included full-time four-wheel drive with Jeep's Selec-Terrain Traction Management System. The system adjusts the throttle, torque, and engine performance based on the terrain. A two-speed transfer case comes with the Quadra-Trac II four-wheel-drive system for low gearing when rock crawling.
Add the available Quadra-Lift air suspension system to either trim to get 3.6-inches of travel and 10-inches of ground clearance. If you plan on towing with your Wagoneer, add the available Trailer Hitch Zoom with Line-Up Assist and the Integrated Brake Control system.
Interior
The lavish cabin has three rows of seats for up to eight people with one of the best-in-class overall passenger volumes of any large SUV. Even those riding in the second and third rows have plenty of legroom and headroom. Luxury features include padded leather seats and 12-way power-adjustable front seats that are climate-controlled on the Series III trim. Depending on the flexible seating arrangements, the Wagoneer has between 27.4 and 116.7 cubic feet of storage space.
Both trims come with Jeep's Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touch screen. Standard features included with the system include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, Bluetooth connectivity, eight USB ports, and a nine-speaker sound system. Available features include a rear-seat multimedia entertainment system, on-board navigation, and a 19-speaker premium audio system.
Safety Features
