Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Ram 1500 comes in trim levels called the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. Some of these trim levels can be outfitted with either a quad cab or the larger crew cab. Depending on the trim level, the crew cab has the option between a 5-foot-7-inch or 6-foot-4-inch box. The quad cab only comes with the longer option. Engine (Power)
This model year's Ram 1500 has five engine options. The entry-level 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 creates 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. A 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine is available, pumping out 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. The available 5.6-liter HEMI V-8 engine is offered with and without the eTorque mild hybrid system, but both configurations produce 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. The thrilling supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine delivers 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
All of these engines are connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
With the HEMI V-8, the 2022 Ram 1500 can tow up to 12,750 pounds. The truck's 98% high-strength steel frame allows it to haul up to 2,300 pounds of maximum payload. If you're looking for some serious off-road performance, choose the Rebel trim level for tougher terrain-tackling gear. The Ram 1500 improves its efficiency with an active front air dam that automatically drops down at speeds over 30 mph to improve aerodynamics. Smooth out rougher roads with the available Active-Level four-corner air suspension system.
Interior
The Ram 1500 is still the most luxurious truck in its class, thanks to features such as a new air filtration system that keeps your cabin clean, best-in-class legroom for rear-row seats with an available reclining feature, available leather upholstery, and more.
