Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2022 Ram 2500 is available in six trim levels: the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Power Wagon, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. Depending on the trim level, the Ram 2500 is offered with one of three cab sizes: a regular cab, crew cab, or the Mega Cab. These get either a 6-foot-4-inch or 8-foot box. Engine (Power)

While you look for your 2022 Ram 2500, you'll have two engines to choose from. The standard loadout is a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 engine that outputs 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. Increase your towing capacity by switching to the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel inline six-cylinder engine that produces 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. The HEMI has an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the Cummins has a six-speed automatic transmission.

Performance

The 2022 Ram 2500 can tow up to 20,000 pounds when equipped with the turbo-diesel engine. This engine allows you to haul up to 3,160 pounds of payload. If you choose the HEMI, you'll be able to tow up to 17,540 pounds and handle a 4,010-pound payload. Opt for the factory-installed gooseneck/fifth-wheel towing hardware for maximum strength. The available adjustable rear air suspension system allows you to lower your truck for easier trailer hookups. For a capable off-roading truck, choose the Power Wagon to get Bilstein monotube shocks, rear and front locking differentials, and an electronic front sway bar.

Interior

The Ram 2500 is still one of the most luxurious trucks in its class at higher trim levels. The Limited offers all-leather seats and real wood accents to create a first-class cabin. The Limited Longhorn offers brown leather reminiscent of horse saddles. Give your crew the most amount of space by choosing the Mega Cab configuration, which offers foldable seats that can be laid flat to create a larger cargo area. Upgrade the central touch screen to the 8.4- or 12-inch version for an even smarter tech loadout. Opt for the 17-speaker Harman Kardon audio system for superior sound.
