Within 20 miles of the city, there are 16 other public courses, four private courses, and three municipal courses. Today, we’re highlighting the top four public courses in and around Durand.

1. Holiday Meadows Golf Course

Holiday Meadows Golf Course is a nine-hole regulation golf course featuring 19 sand traps. This course includes 3,513 playable yards from the black tees and 2,505 playable yards from the red tees. We love this affordable golf course because water comes into play on two-thirds of the holes, making things much more challenging than a lot of other local courses. However, there are also five tees to choose from, so you can make the game easier if you want to.

We also love the affordability of this public course. Kids under the age of 15 can play for only $7. Adults can play for $10 to $14 depending on the day of the week, and veterans and first responders are thanked for their service with a discount.

2. Willow Brook Course

The Willow Brook Course is a great choice if you’re looking for an 18-hole regulation golf course. Although it’s located in Byron, MI, it is only six miles from the heart of Durand, and it is well worth a visit. This public golf course was opened in 1964 and features three sets of tees, so players of all skill levels can have fun.

We love the amenities available at this public golf course. For instance, there’s a 12-tee driving range you can warm up on before you try to beat the par of 72. There’s also a delicious full-service restaurant and bar, so you can enjoy dinner after your game.

3. Corunna Hills Golf Course

Like the Holiday Meadows Golf Course, the Corunna Hills Golf Course is a nine-hole golf course located near Durand. This challenging course in Corunna has been loved since it opened in 1954. The greens feature bentgrass, the fairways feature bluegrass, and all of it is very well maintained. There are three tees to choose from depending on how much of a challenge you’re interested in, and prices range from $9 to $18 per person.

4. Hunters Ridge Course

The Hunters Ridge Course is an 18-hole regulation course located in Howell, MI. This challenging course features up to 6,532 playable yards, a slope of 134, and a challenging par of 71. This golf course also features a 10-tee driving range to warm up on. Prices range from $25 to $50 per person. However, first responders, military personnel, and seniors qualify for discounts.
