This adorable cafe/dessert joint offers a comfortable seating area and friendly service with a host of options to choose from. Whether you visit just for the sugary choices or for a meal and dessert, you’ll be pleased with the delicately prepared creations. Select from several flavors and homemade cones, or enjoy one of their freak shakes.
Suggestion—if you plan to order the freak shake, skip lunch! Kids especially love them too. We recommend the unicorn or the moose shake.
2. YoWay Frozen Yogurt & Donuts
This locally owned and operated business provides a create-your-own venue. Select from 16 hand-dipped flavors, and then add one or more of the dozens of candies, fruits, and nuts. Top it off with chocolate, strawberry, or caramel syrup, or hot fudge.
We suggest the pineapple frozen yogurt with cheesecake bites or the mint chocolate chip with Heath bits and hot fudge topping. Kids will love the cereal milkshakes, such as cinnamon toast crunch or peanut butter cocoa pebbles.
3. Sweets & Treats
For great milkshakes, banana splits, hot fudge sundaes, and floats, stop by this family-owned and operated establishment, which serves takeout only, making it a perfect stop for a quick treat. With a plethora of choices and generous portions, you’re sure to find something for everyone in your group. Try the strawberry shortcake or caramel apple specialty sundae. This is also one of the few places in the area that is open year-round.
4. Cone Zone
Abundant selections and huge portions are what you’ll find at this locals’ favorite. They use high-quality ingredients and prepare their delicacies fresh and handmade. Check out the Reese’s Pieces flurry, the banana split, or the cheesecake sundae. Cone Zone also specializes in creative dishes, such as the marshmallow soft serve dipped in Rice Krispies.
5. Roaring 20’s Parlour
Feel like you’ve stepped back in time at this small, loveable, old-fashioned eatery. Though a few miles outside of town, the drive is worth it. They serve up delicious homemade treats with a smile and affordable prices. Pick from one of their nearly 50 flavors and ask for their housemade waffle cone, which they make fresh daily.
