Red 2021 Jeep Renegade making a turn on city roads. The Jeep Renegade has the dimensions of a compact crossover, but its sporty look and excellent off-road capabilities make it stand out from other small SUVs. For the 2021 model year, the Renegade gains some new standard safety systems such as a blind-spot monitor and lane-keep assist, and Jeep added a new 80th Anniversary Edition to the lineup along with an Islander Edition. Hit the road this summer in the Renegade.

The Model Lineup

The entry-level Renegade is the Sport. It comes with 16-inch steel wheels and power-adjustable and heated side exterior mirrors. Stepping up to the Latitude gets you 17-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, automatic headlights, and body-colored exterior trim elements. It also has cornering fog lights and tinted rear windows. The Limited gains 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic windshield wipers, and keyless entry. For more off-road features, check out the Trailhawk. This Renegade comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, off-road tires, a full-size spare, tow hooks, skid plates, and more ground clearance.

The 80th Anniversary Edition has 19-inch wheels and special exterior badging, and the Islander has 19-inch silver wheels, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and hood decals.

The Powertrains

Power for the Sport and Latitude comes from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder gas engine with 180 horsepower. Front-wheel drive comes standard in these two models, with all-wheel drive an available option. A turbo 1.3-liter four-cylinder is an option for the Latitude and comes standard in the Trailhawk and Limited. This engine puts out 177 horsepower and gets 210 pound-feet of torque. The Limited and Trailhawk come with a full-time all-wheel-drive system, and the Trailhawk adds a Selec-Terrain system with settings for different low-traction conditions.

The Technology

You’ll get a 7-inch touch screen in the Sport, which also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This base Renegade also has satellite radio, Bluetooth, an auxiliary input, and a USB port. For an extra USB port in the back seat, step up to the Latitude. This midlevel trim also offers the option for an 8.4-inch touch screen, satellite radio with Traffic Plus, a 115-volt power outlet, and navigation, or you can bump up to the Limited where these come standard.

The Safety Features

New for 2021, all Renegade models now come standard with more advanced safety systems. Some of the safety features you’ll now get include a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, a forward-collision warning system with active emergency braking, trailer sway damping that will adjust the brakes to help control the trailer, and lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist. The Trailhawk adds hill descent control, and if you add the Luxury Group II package, it comes with adaptive cruise control and an automated parking system.

The Interior Quality

The Renegade has a functional and comfortable cabin with upscale features in the higher trims. Choose the Limited for heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel.

The 2021 Jeep Renegade has a unique exterior look and the ability to tackle any type of terrain. It’s the perfect vehicle to hit the road in this summer. Browse our available inventory on the Jeep Renegade and pay us a visit at Randy Wise Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Durand in Durand, MI!
